This book is full of heart – so much heart that it will envelope you and carry you through the day. I love that friends and family stepped up to support this family. I am impressed by Gary who went through the process and perhaps learned a bit about himself and his health in the process. Well written and even though not all of us have had catastrophic experiences in our lives – very relatable. A father daughter relationship is priceless, and this dad and daughter are shining examples. A good read.

The book moves you through the long and challenging ordeal of a very young girl and her family’s struggle against an unforeseen kidney disease diagnosis. When you need to push the medical community for answers it can certainly be a daunting challenge. The perseverance of this young girl and her family never swayed, and they were able to find answers and move forward to address the disease. Albeit they encountered many difficult and scary days together, they relied on one another and never gave up. Life is about faith, family, and friends and if you have them, you can overcome a difficult situation as this family has done. Very well done.

I can vouch for you John. It was an excellent read. I felt like I was reliving it and that’s cause I was at your place a lot and still had no idea what you all went through. Not to mention what Kristen was going through. I will read it over and over as I’m sure I still missed some details. God bless you all. 🤗❤️

A quick and thorough first person account of how quickly things can go wrong with potentially deadly consequences. It is an in depth look into how important it is to seek prompt and accurate medical attention, whether it be kidney disease or any other ailment. John has told the story in a way that takes you right into all the details from diagnosis to treatment to recovery. This story has a happy ending, but is a wake up call to everyone to pay close attention to one’s own health and the health of our loved ones,

Such a personal and tender account of one family’s persistence with the medical profession to get a diagnosis and treatment for their daughter .The book flows smoothly though the highs and lows of an incredibly challenging period for the Bishop family . The photographs bring this amazing story to life!
